John T. Cavan was born in 1976 in Roanoake, Virginia. He attended the University of Georgia for undergraduate studies, graduating in 1998 with a degree in Psychology.

Mr. Cavan began working as a legal assistant in the Law Office of Thomas A. Turner, Jr. in the winter of 1999. Continuing to work as a legal assistant, Mr. Cavan started night law school in August 2001. He graduated in May of 2005 with a Juris Doctor degree.

He was admitted to the California bar in November of 2005 and the Nevada Bar in May of 2006. Mr. Cavan's primary areas of practice are Intellectual Property and Rights of Privacy and Publicity.
